My scores upon graduating were:

English: 96/100 (74/75 for internals)
Philosophy & Reason: 100/100
Economics: 95/100 (100% for internals)
Chemistry: 96/100 (100% for internals)
Biology: 93/100

I am able to assist with assignments & exams within these subjects. I can also tutor primary and junior secondary English, science and humanities. I was enrolled at BSHS through academic merit, and have tutored students for this exam, so I am more than happy to help with any selective-entry enquiries.

In Year 12, I was awarded the ANU All-Rounder Scholarship and the University of Melbourne National Merit Scholarship. I have extensive experience writing scholarship and personal statements and am willing to share my tips to help you hit the criteria and stand out.

About the lesson

Tutoring: English, Humanities (Philosophy & Economics), Science (Biology & Chemistry)

Hi! I graduated from Brisbane State High School in 2021 with an ATAR of 99.25. I have over 2 years of experience tutoring primary and high school students over zoom, and in-person, where I have developed a range of techniques for different learning styles. I also volunteered for 2 years as a tutor for my school’s EALD program, where I received the ‘Most Influential Mentor’ award for excellence in teaching.

My goal as a tutor is not just to help you reach your own personal academic goals; I want you to understand, and develop skills to attack certain questions, but most importantly, enjoy the subject. I have been lucky enough to have been taught by some of the most inspiring and patient teachers, who have helped me believe in myself. This motivated me to strive harder, and I have been able to exceed my own expectations.

I was heavily involved throughout debating & public speaking (Queensland representative) throughout school and have had experience teaching and coaching junior teams, allowing them to reach their potentials. This has taught me how to write concisely, and for specific audiences. I understand a range of current affairs which I find is extremely useful in humanities/English based subjects.

Having gone through a multitude of resources, I know which ones are useful and can provide you with the following:
- Year 11 & 12 Questions & Past Papers (HSC, VCE, QCE, School Based Mocks, NEAP exams, Total Education etc.)
- In-depth subject notes/summaries
- Access to my notion pages for biology/flashcards for chemistry & economics
- My own assignments which all received scores of >95%

TUTORING

I am able to tutor at SLQ, Mt Ommaney & Indooroopilly libraries. I also have experience tutoring on Zoom/FaceTime. Parents of younger students are welcome to sit through lessons if they would like.
