About Maddison
I'm an Australian Government (DFAT) Scholar, and I am also university student studying a bachelor of International Business and Mandarin. I spent most of my childhood in China, studying at an international school, so I have advanced Chinese cultural and linguistic knowledge. I have been tutoring for over 5 years now, and have taught students from 5 years old to 65 years old. I am always happy to help, whether it's translation you're after, or just some simple language lessons. I cater my teaching style and methods to every individual, and will learn what is best and most interesting for each student.

My teaching method differs from student to student. During the initial lesson, I will discuss with the student what the wish to learn and how they most enjoy learning. I usually incorporate a mix of writing and online resources to help students learn most effectively. I first aim at building vocabulary, then move on to sentences, and finally comprehension.
