About Calvin
I am an award-winning pianist and piano teacher with 2 decades of teaching experience.
You might also recognise me from the ABC's reality TV show "The Piano" hosted by Amanda Keller, where I received a standing ovation for my piano performance whilst being secretly judged by Grammy award-winning artist, Harry Connick Jr and ARIA award-winning pianist, Andrea Lam.
In additionl to completing Grade 8 Piano and Grade 5 Theoretical examinations, I have studied Music at Monash University and am currently the resident pianist at the RACV Club on Bourke Street.
In 2023, I released my debut composition on Spotify, Apple and Amazon Music titled "The Adventure Etude ". Calvin has since released two more original works "One More Time" (a piano and vocal track) and "My True Love".
I also have a current Working with Children Check.

Choose your desired style of music you'd like to learn, from classical to jazz and top 40 songs, and Calvin will tailor lessons to suit your needs.
Learn how to:
* read notes and music notation
* apply techniques and theory to improve music reading speed (such as intervals)
* play scales, chords and progressions and how it relates to the Circle of 5ths
* improve coordination with custom finger exercises
* sing and play piano at the same time.
* learn how to play your favourite songs efficiently and effectively
Lessons may be: 30 minutes / 45 minutes / 60 minutes on weekdays or weeknights.
