About Kristina
My professional career as a singer, musician, recording artist, and educator spans more than four decades. With over 40 years of performance experience and more than 18 years of teaching experience, I bring a wealth of professional industry knowledge to every lesson, combined with a deeply personal and holistic approach to music education. I genuinely love teaching and mentoring others, and I find great joy in helping students discover their unique voices, build confidence, develop their skills, and grow as artists.
As a recording artist, my album Mother Tree reached #1 on the iTunes New Age chart, and my album Shakti received the World Entertainment Award for Best Global Traditional Album as well as, reaching #1 on the iTunes New Age chart. I have performed and toured throughout Europe, Canada, the Pacific Northwest, Southern California, Arizona, and the East Coast, and I have had the privilege of working with Grammy-nominated artists. I also continue to perform regularly, keeping my professional experience current and bringing real-world performance knowledge into my teaching.
My musical education includes studies at Berklee College of Music, as well as advanced study with Grammy-nominated musician and sound healing pioneer Silvia Nakkach at the California Institute of Integral Studies, where I received my Certificate in Sound, Voice, and Music Healing. I also earned my Certificate in Music Medicine Facilitation through UpBeat Drum Circles at UCLArts and Healing, under the mentorship of world-renowned music therapist Christine Stevens. Additionally, I hold a Pranayama certification from Pilgrimage of the Heart Yoga, where I studied under Lauren McLaren and developed specialized training in breathwork and techniques for managing performance anxiety. I am currently continuing my education through The Embody Lab, where I am pursuing certification in Somatic Therapy, with a focus on the mind-body connection.
I believe that a great teacher should continue to be a student, performer, and creator. My ongoing work as a professional musician allows me to teach not only technique, but also the artistry, confidence, creativity, and practical skills that come from years of performing, recording, collaborating, and creating music professionally.

I have a holistic approach to teaching and tailor each lesson to your unique needs, goals, learning style, and level. Whether you're looking to develop your voice, build confidence, explore your creativity, prepare for professional performance, or simply enjoy making music, my goal is to meet you exactly where you are.
I teach professional singing and public speaking at all levels, beginner-to-intermediate guitar and ukulele, songwriting, performance, ear training, music theory, recording techniques, and sound healing. I teach students of all ages and levels and work in virtually every style except opera. Lessons are available for beginners discovering their musical voice, experienced musicians looking to refine their skills, aspiring performers and songwriters, and anyone who simply wants to explore their creativity.
A typical lesson is personalized rather than following a rigid formula. Depending on your goals, we may work on vocal technique, breathing, ear training, repertoire, interpretation, songwriting, musicianship, performance skills, recording techniques, or developing confidence as a performer. We'll build on your strengths while identifying areas where you can grow, always at a pace that feels productive and encouraging.
What sets my teaching apart is that I don't believe there is one "right" way to learn or one sound everyone should strive for. My goal is to help you discover and develop your own unique voice—whether you're singing, playing an instrument, writing songs, performing, or simply expressing yourself creatively.
Sometimes I may be the only person who hears a student sing, play, or create. I believe we're all creative beings, and everyone deserves the opportunity to express themselves through music and art, regardless of where that journey ultimately takes them.
With more than 40 years of professional performance experience and over 18 years of teaching experience, I bring both real-world professional experience and a deeply personal approach to every lesson. I'm here to help you build skills, confidence, and a stronger connection to your own creativity.
