About Alex

Learning to dance can feel intimidating, especially if you’ve tried classes before and felt stuck, confused, or unsure of your progress. My priority as a teacher is to create a supportive, respectful and professional learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes.

I am a professional Bachata and Salsa instructor with extensive experience teaching private and group classes to students of different ages, backgrounds and learning styles. I take my role seriously and prepare each lesson with care, adapting my teaching to your level, goals and pace.

I value clarity, structure and honesty in my teaching. I will always explain techniques in a way that makes sense to you, give clear feedback, and guide you step by step so you can see real improvement. My students often tell me they feel more confident not only in class, but also when dancing socially, because they understand what they are doing and why.

I am punctual, reliable and committed to maintaining a high standard of professionalism in every lesson. Whether you are taking your first steps or refining advanced technique, you can expect focused, well-structured classes designed to help you progress efficiently and enjoy the learning process.

About the lesson

My approach to teaching Bachata and Salsa is focused on building strong fundamentals that actually work on the social dance floor, not just memorising steps.

I break movements down into clear, simple techniques so you understand how and why something works — balance, weight transfer, hip control, body movement, connection, leading and following, musicality and timing. These elements are often what limit dancers from feeling confident socially, even after years of classes, so I prioritise them at every level.

Lessons are always adapted to your goals: whether you want to feel more comfortable social dancing, improve your technique, gain confidence, or refine your style. I combine structured exercises with practical application so you can immediately feel the difference in your dancing.

A typical private lesson lasts 60 minutes, with time dedicated to technique, guided practice, and personalised feedback. I move at your pace and make sure you leave each class knowing exactly what to practise next.

I am a professional Bachata and Salsa instructor with several years of teaching and performance experience, working with dancers from complete beginners to advanced levels. I have taught group classes, private lessons, and workshops, and I specialise in helping students progress efficiently without feeling overwhelmed.
