About Richard
I have 5 years of part-time experience teaching English online. I hold a TEFL/TESOL certificate as well as a Bachelor's in language education. I have taught children for around 3 years through a curriculum and adults for around 2 years through casual conversational lessons.

I'm an easy-going and fun English tutor who teaches casual lessons centered on vocabulary. I will have you read material or talk in a conversation. If I have any vocabulary comes up in the lesson/session that you don't know or aren't familiar with, then we can learn that vocabulary.
A part of the learning process depends on the student. Being self-motivated and proactive about your learning helps a lot. During our classes, please use the vocabulary and/or structures that I have given you. Class time is also an opportunity to use what you have learned.
I prefer teaching students who are able to have a conversation to some extent but who struggle to find words to use to describe their thoughts. This means I'm not looking for absolute beginners or very advanced students.
