About Gabriella
Growing up in Bogotá before moving to the US 7 years ago gives me a unique perspective on language acquisition. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish Literature and a 120-hour TEFL certification, which anchor my 11 years of teaching. My focus is on helping adults in their 30s reclaim the Spanish they heard as children.
I help with conversational fluency, writing skills, and idioms. It is helpful to navigate the nuances of grammar and listening practice alongside a native speaker who understands the challenges of living in 2 worlds. My students often need help with travel Spanish or passing the DELE exam, and I have the background to support those specific goals.

Starting our first 9 minute check in allows me to gauge your current proficiency level and comfort with the language. I use my academic training in literature to create structured, comprehensive sessions that build on your existing knowledge of Spanish.
Since I provide free access to my vocabulary and grammar notes, you can review our work outside of our time together. We address your specific linguistic gaps through deliberate practice.
My methods draw directly from my 11 years of experience in the classroom. We focus on listening, writing, and speaking patterns that heritage learners often miss. You will find that the rhythm of the lessons adapts to your pace as we work toward your goal of speaking with confidence. These sessions are designed to prepare you for real world interactions or formal testing.
