I begin getting to know my students' interests, learning styles, and preferences. I show that students are valued and heard by actively listening to their questions and concerns. I can create lesson plans that meet the needs of my students and their course syllabus. I also have my own curriculum that can used if needed. I also give students strategies to be independent and create more effective learners by having students look at their own thinking and learning skills, how they study or show them ways to study successful and effectively, and how they manage their studies outside of school. I understand that each student is unique and faces challenges at their own pace. I remain patient when a student struggles, offering encouragement and continuous support for their success.
