About Miles
Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with students of various ages and skill levels, ranging from beginners to advanced level. My teaching approach focuses on creating a supportive and inspiring environment that encourages students to explore their musical potential and develop a lifelong love for singing. I am well-versed in a wide range of teaching methods and techniques, allowing me to tailor my lessons to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student. By incorporating a balance of technical exercises both in classical and contemporary, music theory, and repertoire, I ensure that my students receive a comprehensive musical education. In addition to my teaching experience, I am an accomplished vocal teacher and performer, having collaborated in numerous recitals and competitions, festivals, international performances, and conferences. This firsthand experience allows me to effectively guide my students in their musical journey and provide them with valuable insights into performance techniques and interpretation both in AMEB and ABRSM settings as well as Sydney Eisteddfod, local and international, festivals & competitions.

A structured learning program where a student receives instruction on how to play the piano, covering aspects like basic hand positioning, reading music notation, playing melodies, developing proper technique, and eventually progressing to more complex pieces, all guided by a qualified piano teacher. Voice lessons will focus on five major areas of study: register balance, breathing, range building, body posture, and repertory. During your lesson, you will learn exercises designed to balance the registers of chest, middle, and head voice.
