About Jackie

I am a high school teacher. My experience is in maths up to VCE General, junior science, junior P.E. and health. Additionally, I have a major in psychology. I am tutoring to keep up with house rates, but more importantly the opportunity to teach VCE students, or even primary school students to keep the skills and knowledge fresh in my brain. I also love to feel like I am helping students, so the one-on-one help will give us the opportunity to learn and feel like not only the student is cared about, but the teacher is helping someone too.

About the lesson

* 45-90 minute lessons (I can do more or less, 60 minutes would be the best suited). * I can bring content - projects, worksheets or textbooks to go over work or we can go through the student's current homework or weaknesses that they may be stuck on. * I have 9 years teaching experience and I am the head of maths. (9th year teaching now and a normal mainstream maths teacher 7-10) * I am qualified to teach primary and secondary - Prep-12 high school in particular - maths. I am happy to teach science up to Year 10, psychology up to Year 12, maths up to Year 12, even business and law up to Year 11.

Perfect! Jackie was encouraging and professional giving lots of constructive feedback. She was able to quickly assess the situation and jump in to the right level of support for the student. Jackie came prepared with the right materials and was easy to talk to regarding scheduling and ongoing support, highly recommend.

Jackie makes a great teacher because she is understanding in every persons academic skills and/or levels and is able to work around it and gets the progress done at good and stable levels for each student. For me I personally know her as I had her for year 11 so in starting year 11 she helped out with the stress of the work and working during Covid she did videos on every bit of topic we were doing to further help out with our knowledge. i personally recommend her as she can make learning fun but still gets the work done.
