About Foluwa
I have experience tutoring and helping students work through tricky concepts step-by-step at their own pace, and I ran a weekly study group where I used games like Kahoot to keep learning fun and interactive. I start math lessons by asking a student what they would like to focus on and a quick review of concepts, and answering questions. Next, I have the student do example problems and walk me through their thought process. To finish the lesson, I have the student work through a challenging problem to test their knowledge and thinking. If in a group setting, I use games like Kahoot to accustom students to working within a time limit and keep learning fun and interactive. I finish by asking questions and sending them resources such as diagrams and notes from the lesson. Preparing students for challenging problems sets me apart as it hones students' critical thinking skills, which is crucial for learning.
