About Karen
Music has been a part of my life since I was in kindergarten. I completed a Bachelor of Music in Melbourne, and have completed an AMusA and an LMusA on flute. These are performance diplomas awarded by the AMEB through a recital performance. I have been teaching flute since I was in high school in 1980 to students as young as 5 and up to 75. I have recently arrived in Brunswick Heads from Western Australia, where I am a member of the WA Music Teachers Association.

I like to teach in a playful creative way, and also value excellence in technique. I offer 30, 40, 45, or 60-minute lessons depending on the age and level of the student. Adults can have fortnightly lessons if preferred. I have been teaching flute since I was in high school in 1980 and teach students from 7 years; there is no upper limit, unless there are issues with arthritis. I have experience teaching the Suzuki Method as well as a traditional approach, tailored to suit individuals.
