About Vevina
I’m a pianist and a violinist who is currently studying the Bachelor of Philosophy (Honours) majoring in Music at the Conservatorium at University of Western Australia as an awardee of the Oracle Prize in Pianoforte Performance, and received People's Choice Award in the prestigious VOSE Concerto competition.
In my first year of tertiary education, the University of Western Australia offered me to study both the piano and violin, a special case that had never happened before. Prior to this offer, I received an early admission offer from UWA to omit my Year 12 studies in high school and study full-time at the University, due to completing the Year 12 Western Art Music ATAR in Year 11. I have also received the Year 12 ATAR Western Art Music Course Prize in All Saints College and achieved 100 percent in the practical component of the Year 12 Western Art Music ATAR WACE exam.
I have obtained multiple diplomas on the piano including Licentiate Trinity College London (LTCL), Associate Trinity College London (ATCL) and an Associate Diploma in AMEB (AMusA). I have also achieved the AMusA on the violin as well. I have previously obtained the Grade 8 AMEB exam with Honours on the violin, only within 4 years of learning it. I have also completed the Grade 5 AMEB Musicianship and the Grade 6 AMEB Musicianship.
I have won several international competitions which gave me the opportunity to perform in Carnegie Hall, New York. I have also won many local competitions on both instruments including Fremantle Eisteddfod, North of Perth Music Festival, Western Australia Music Teacher Association (WAMTA) and many more.
Beyond solo performances, I was involved in other numerous musical commitments such as being a violinist in the Western Australian Youth Orchestra (WAYO) and the UWA Symphony Orchestra, a singer in the UWA choir, a harpsichordist in a basso continuo ensemble, a member in a chamber ensemble group as well as being an accompanist.

I am capable of tutoring both the piano and violin from beginner to an advanced level and am happy to teach of all ages. I offer students to participate in competitions, exams, and scholarships if they wish to achieve and perform at a high standard. I have taught many young students who have won several awards at local competitions and achieved music scholarships from private schools.
My vision is for students to enjoy classical music and instrumental performing but also achieve the high result they want. In my lessons, I create a fun environment and find effective practice methods for students to guide them on their musical journey. As I understand students lead very busy lives, I emphasise the importance of learning efficiently and being disciplined in their at-home practice sessions but in a more enjoyable way. I also provide aural and theory support in our lessons to help students better understand classical music.
