About Emily
Hi! My name is Emily, I love music and I am a music tutor. I have been playing piano since I was 6 years old and since then have learned skills in singing, production, songwriting and music theory. I am currently studying to be a music producer and I enjoy learning new pieces on my piano and uploading music related videos on social media. I also have a huge passion for teaching and with some experience in music teaching already, hope to spread my knowledge with people who are willing to learn. I'm looking to teach people who are passionate and enjoy music just as I do. I have a teaching background as a qualified swimming teacher and have been doing that for three years and have a certificate iii in individual support. From my qualifications, there are many transferable skills such as communication, teaching methods and problem solving that will help me to assist you to learn music :) I have attached a video of me singing and playing a cover. Current Music Production Student at Collarts (Australia College of the Arts) Around 17 years of experience in piano and music Australia Music Board Examinations (AMEB) grade 2 qualification Volunteering for the Sound of Life offering students music lessons that cannot access them easily Victoria Music Teacher's Association Music Teaching Mentoring program Two years of singing lessons I teach a whole range of music related topics. PIANO (6 years to adults) I teach beginner's piano. Basic songs, technique and other skills will be taught. SINGING (6 years to adults) I teach basic singing, singing technique and other skills. PRODUCTION AND SONGWRITING (11 years to adults) Learn basic Ableton (music production software) and how to write and compose basic songs including singing and using the piano Choose your focus, or opt to learn all three topics over time All lessons and topics are beginner friendly All 1 on 1 classes
