About Bri
Over the course of 18 months I have learned two languages. I was serving as a missionary for my church in the Philippines, there I spoke Tagalog. One thing is for sure, that language is not easy, but after dedication and practice I picked it up quicker than I imagined. Sadly I had to come home due to Covid19. I received another assignment to serve in Kansas. The amount of Speakers inspired me to practice learning it. After 10 months of studying the language everyday and applying what I have learned into the real world, I
(and other Spanish speakers) would say that I have become fluent. It has given me an opportunity to meet new people who have completely different backgrounds than me and I would love to help others experience this opportunity as well.

After teaching English on my mission trip, I would say that the most helpful tip in learning a language fast is a combination of 1. Vocabulary 2. Grammar 3. Practice/Application. I love nothing more than answering questions. From answering questions, it can carry out how the rest of the learning session can go.
