BECOME AN ITALIAN! Italian language and culture courses from native speakers with L2 teaching experience.

I found Emma via - I think it was - the FB community "EXPATS LIVING IN ITALY". Not sure, though, unfortunately, so I could not tell Emma who led me to her. And too bad, since I don't know how to thank the recommender. I'm very very (!) positive about and happy with Emma as a teacher. We have two hours a week via Skype (she in Florence, me in Rome) including about half an hour homework per week. I'm trying to add to it by watching Rai Uno, Due, etc and - as per her recommendation - listing to certain podcasts in Italian.

Emma is very well organised, patient yet resolute and thorough and has an enormously cheerful and pleasant personality with it. I could not think of anyone better for me in finding my way in this quite tricky language!

Emma is the best! She is excellent at explaining Italian grammar, and she has learning materials for every subject! Super professional, reliable, and will get you to a high level of proficiency in little time.

Let me share some feedback on studying with Emma. Except the fact she is very positive, friendly and easy going person I know, she has a real gift to teach. I tried few native speakers once I was living in Florence and Emma's way of working really allowed me to move forward. She is always very well prepared to our 121 classes: all materials prepared, she thinks upfront about how to split the time we have between conversation, gramma, exercising, reading/ vocalubary. When necessary we do a little steps back to remind myself gramma rules I forgot, but she constantly move forward with me. She is very patient and - small detail, but very important to foreigners - she speaks only Italian and she speaks slowly! :-) She always send a summary of the lesson and all materials right after our meeting. Although I left Italy, I continue studying with her online - via Skype. I would like recommend Emma to anyone who wants to study Italian!

Emma understands the needs of her students and plans her lessons accordingly. She is always planned and ready for the time you have together. I feel I get better and learn something every lesson. She is also a positive person, which is very important, it's fun to have a lesson with her!! I definitely recommend!
