About ISANA

My name is Isana and I'm offering my services as a tutor for beginner Japanese students as I want to spread the joy and comfort I myself have found in the language and its culture.

While I am 16, I offer a professional service curated through the years I have spent in a specialist Japanese school, giving presentations and my own experience studying for GCSE Japanese.

About the lesson

These lessons are primarily for children aged 5-15 who have never learnt Japanese before/have a very basic understanding.

Choose between a 6, 12, 18, 24 and 36 week course, spanning all the fundamentals. Students will graduate from learning hiragana (The first, basic alphabet) and katakana (the alphabet for foreign words) to learning words, formulating sentences and holding conversations, and finally to studying characters. Per completion of each milestone, a student will receive a certificate proving their completion, and providing a visual indication of their level of fluency.

I am fluent, and have taken GCSE Japanese, receiving a 9, so message me if you would like lessons to be structured especially for GCSEs.

Homework is set every lesson (unless otherwise stated) and each lesson will begin with marking and an evaluation.

Every lesson is structured for the student in mind. For example, learning vocabulary related to what the student is interested in, or using a lesson to learn about a specific part of Japanese culture such as kimonos or anime. Whether in year 1, year 6 or year 9, you are welcome and lessons will be designed with your best interests!
