About Mei
Hello, my name is Mei, and I offer piano and music theory lessons for beginners in Wyndham Vale. I hold an ABRSM Grade 8 certification in Piano and Grade 5 in Music Theory, which qualifies me to teach these subjects at a beginner level.
Although I’m relatively new to tutoring, I aim to provide a professional and relaxed environment where you can feel comfortable learning at your own pace. My lessons are designed to be enjoyable while helping you build a solid foundation in music theory and piano.

I use a simple, easy-to-follow method that teaches notes as A, B, C, etc., rather than the more complex Do, Re, Mi system, making it easier for beginners to get started. I teach on a digital piano, which allows for a more affordable lesson structure. I aim to create a low-pressure environment where you can build your confidence step by step.
Each lesson lasts 45 minutes to 1 hour, depending on what works best for you. I keep things light, focusing on fun and enjoyment while helping you progress in your learning.
My lessons are designed for beginner students of any age, and I’m excited to help you take your first steps into the world of music! Since I’m just starting out as a tutor, I offer a much lower rate of $28 per hour, making it an affordable option for beginners.
