About Claire
About Me: I started the violin when I was 9 years old and have been playing for 15+ years. I began with the Suzuki method. In school, I performed as first violinist in the orchestra and chamber ensembles. I also was concertmaster of the orchestra several times. In University, I obtained a Minor in Music, where I also performed as first violinist in the orchestra and performed in several chamber ensemble groups. I performed in the University's pit orchestra for theater productions. Outside of school, I was invited to Chamber Music Dolomiti in Italy in 2019 where I studied chamber music with the Shanghai Quartet. I've attended several music festivals, including Green Mountain Chamber Music Festival, Point CounterPoint, and New England Music Camp. I also have performed as a soloist in local churches and retirement homes.

Beginner Lessons: In the beginning of lessons, we will start with how to hold the instrument and correct posture. Then, we will move on to learning the notes on the instrument and how to read sheet music and understand rhythm. After the student has mastered this, we will begin with scales and warm-ups on the instrument. I am Suzuki method trained, and I will recommend pieces from the Suzuki books when the student is ready to learn pieces. I am an extremely patient teacher and would love to help anyone who wants to learn the violin. I am very caring and believe music is what brings people together. If a student has any questions about the violin or reading music, they are always welcome to ask!

Excellent! Claire was great but super prof is not to be trusted they charged us for a free intro lesson
Perfect! As an absolute beginner, I've found Claire to be incredibly helpful in guiding me through the basics of music theory and proper violin posture. She has provided printed music and recommended books, which I’m starting to explore and dive into.
