About Megan
I worked as a teaching assistant back in the UK for 2 years in a specialist school for children with Autism. Throughout my time there I had to build a professional relationship with each student to help them excel in their learning, draw up story boards and prompt cards to assist the children with difficult tasks, patiently coach children when they found tasks difficult and find ways to encourage them to complete tasks and be proud of their achievements and ensure the children had a positive and happy learning experience each day. As well as working one to one with the students I had to take on teaching responsibilities when our class teacher wasn't present. This ranged right from planning the lessons to teaching them. These techniques are valuable to all children whether they have learning difficulties or not.

My teaching methodology is that each child is different so naturally they will learn in different ways too. I like to spend the time to get to know what makes each child tick and learn to the best of their ability. Lesson plans change depending on this but whatever it is that we need to learn in the session my goal is to get the child to that point with a positive, happy attitude and to make sure they have pride in their work.
