About Melody
Working with children from eight to eleven years old I am able to
Maintain a positive and patient manner with the children to guarantee maximum joy and entertainment throughout the day.
Being fluent in Chinese can help me to communicate with students who aren't able to speak English.
Being a Peer Counselor helps me to gain experience and patience in mentoring and tutoring students. Therefore, creating a non-judgmental environment for them.

My teaching methods are to always make my student feel motivated and never judge. That is the best way to help a student feel ready to learn. A typical lesson plan would be to do a warm-up first, then I will teach them what I think will be helpful toward their classes, then they can ask me to go over anything with them that they are struggling with.
In my opinion, what sets me apart is my age, I'm younger than most so I am able to relate to the student more culturally and in academics since it will be more recent than others.
