As a UC Berkeley Economics major with several years of tutoring experience, I understand the importance of building strong foundational skills early on as math builds on top of each other. As a UC Berkeley Economics major with prior tutoring experience, my approach focuses on building strong foundational skills before learning more complex lessons. I break basic algebra down into easy-to-understand basic steps as well as repetition in order to help students gain more confidence. A typical lesson plan starts off with either a short diagnostic review or figuring out what the student is struggling with or currently learning at school. What sets me apart is my structured teaching style, where I can break down algebra into very basic steps that anyone as young as 3 years old can understand. My lessons are typically for younger students as I have experience with students ages 3-11 years old.
