About John
I got my start in music by learning saxophone in 6th grade, and started to fall hard into music. Throughout high school I started to pick up learning many styles of music, and played in several different ensembles, such as jazz band, marching band, wind ensemble, saxophone quartet etc. I continued my love for music by studying at Berklee College Of Music where I graduated on full scholarship in 2024. Since then I have been teaching to inspire the next generation of musicians, and I actively perform in many cities for public shows, weddings, corporate events, etc. As an active working musician, I've performed at/with Newport Folk Festival with Conan O'Brien Atlanta Jazz Festival Puddingstone Festival The Disneyland Resort among many other performance spaces where I'm very grateful to have been!

I teach students on a personalized basis to make sure every student is getting what they want out of the saxophone! I'm happy to teach all styles (Jazz, R&B, Pop, Rock, Classical) to help students be able to play their favorite music, on top of teaching good technique of the instrument. My teaching style also includes diving into some music theory as well, so that the student can use that knowledge to understand more of what's going on so that they know how to approach new material themselves. My lessons are for anyone from complete beginner - intermediate! As an active working saxophonist, I also like to help any sax player by sharing my experience into how I started playing music I love so that students can also learn how to actively perform and gig! Excited to meet and make some music with you!

Perfect! Very easy-going and knowledgeable. Approachable and talented. Extremely patient. All the makes of a good teacher. I only wouldn't recommend him to you because you'd be stealing his time that I want for myself, but, selflessly, I'd recommend him!
