About Vanessa
As a dedicated vocalist with 16 years of experience and ongoing studies at Berklee College of Music, I bring both technical expertise and a holistic teaching approach to every lesson. I believe that strong vocal development comes from nurturing the whole artist—mind, body, and voice—so I create an environment where students feel supported, confident, and genuinely excited to grow. My holistic method combines healthy vocal technique, musical expression, breath work, and mindset coaching to help students connect deeply with their own sound. I prioritize safety, clarity, and consistency in every session, ensuring students can explore their voice without tension or strain. I approach teaching with professionalism, patience, and organization. Students can trust that I show up prepared, on time, and fully invested in their progress. Whether you are a beginner discovering your voice or an experienced singer preparing for performances or auditions, I offer reliable guidance tailored to your goals. My goal is simple: to help each student build a strong, healthy voice while developing the confidence and artistic identity that make their singing truly unique.

My Teaching Approach
As a vocal tutor, my goal is to help every student connect with their authentic voice while building a strong, healthy vocal foundation. With 4 years of singing experience and professional vocal training at Berklee College of Music, I combine holistic technique with a supportive, encouraging teaching style that empowers each student to grow confidently at their own pace.
Teaching Method & Techniques
My approach is built on developing the voice safely, expressively, and sustainably. I focus on:
Proper breath support and diaphragmatic control
Healthy vocal placement and resonance
Expanding range and improving tone quality
Pitch accuracy and ear-training
Diction, articulation, and vocal clarity
Musical interpretation and emotional expression
Performance coaching, phrasing, and stylistic choices
Optional songwriting or artist development guidance
I adapt my teaching to each student’s learning style—whether they are visual, auditory, or hands-on—and make technique easy to understand through simple, relatable explanations.
A Typical Lesson Plan
Every lesson is structured but flexible, giving students both stability and room to explore:
Warm-ups & vocal conditioning exercises (breathing, scales, resonance, agility)
Technique focus based on the student’s current goals (tone, range, control, etc.)
Repertoire work, where we apply technique directly to songs the student loves
Musical expression & interpretation coaching
Performance practice (for students who want it)
Clear practice plan for the week, outlining simple goals that lead to real progress
Each lesson is personalized—no one receives a “cookie-cutter” plan.
