About Alex
I’m a Berklee alum, having studied guitar performance along with music production & engineering, and I’ve been teaching guitar for several years now. Though rock and blues guitar are where I found my passion for the instrument, I truly believe there is great music in every genre and I’ve studied and taught accordingly - after getting my early start as a finger-style acoustic guitarist, I studied funk and jazz under Tomo Fujita and Sal DiFusco, earned my metal chops working with Joe Stump and Jon Finn, and came back to my roots as an acoustic guitarist learning from Brooks Robertson.
I’ve taught students all the way from 6 years old to 60, from complete beginners looking to have fun to professional guitarists looking to diversify their skillset! I’ve worked as a session guitarist for years all around Boston and on multiple studio albums, and I’ve played regularly with a few bands in the area.

Hello! My name is Alex, and I’m a guitarist, songwriter, producer, and sound engineer based in Boston.
I believe that part of improving at an instrument is improving one’s musicianship, and so I teach accordingly - I’ll start to incorporate elements of harmony and ear training to help you further your goals. Additionally, there’s no set regimen or cookie-cutter method of learning - everything is personalized and tailored to your goals and needs on the instrument and overall as a musician. Rather than learning licks, I want you to be able to express the things you hear in your head more fluently.
