About Anthea

I have 20 years of calligraphy experience and have received numerous calligraphy awards and medals as a Chinese calligraphy enthusiast. I would like to talk about my calligraphy experience and strongly suggest myself as a tutor.

My fields of expertise are:
· Emphasis customized teaching strategies and adjust lesson plans based on student's abilities and requirements.

· Allows for calligraphy instruction using a variety of fonts: 楷书、隶书、行书、草书.

· Supply premium stationery for retail and wholesale, with the possibility for individualized, customized stationery.

With many years of rich experience and profound calligraphy attainments, I am committed to inheriting and promoting traditional Chinese art. I focus on personalized teaching methods for students to help them comprehensively improve their calligraphy skills. I firmly believe that through patient guidance and unremitting efforts, every student can find his or her own artistic beauty in my class.

About the lesson

(Take the first class as an example, each class has different teaching content.)
· Learn the correct posture of holding a pen and how to use the pen, and establish good writing habits and skills.
· Learn the basic stroke structure. By practicing basic strokes such as horizontal, vertical, left, and right strokes, students can gradually become familiar with the composition of fonts and their writing skills.
· Combine practical exercises and theoretical explanations to deepen your knowledge and understanding of the art of calligraphy.

Courses are divided into recreational courses and systematic courses.
# The number of entertainment courses is determined by yourself. I will provide practice and explanation time, including historical stories related to calligraphy. You can complete a piece of your own work after class.
# It is recommended to book the systematic course for at least 3 sessions to lay a solid foundation and better learn different fonts.

Offline courses will provide learning materials, tools (the Four Treasures of the Study) and cleaning products.

My class size is about 1-3 people in the conference room of Balwyn Library or Camberwell Library, and the online class software is Zoom. This encourages students to learn from each other, feel more relaxed, and enjoy themselves more.

Please make a reservation at least one week in advance to ensure venue availability.

Our courses are 2 hours long, $90/session, $45/hour.
