About Thomasse
I’m French and English, and I grew up speaking both languages, so I understand exactly where English speakers find French tricky, from verb tenses to pronunciation, and how to make it click.
I’m a university graduate and spent several years working in tech in London before moving to Hove. That background makes me organised, clear and patient, and I like breaking complicated things down into simple steps.
I keep lessons friendly and encouraging. Students should leave each session feeling more confident than when they arrived.

Lessons are tailored to your goals, whether that’s passing an exam, catching up at school or finally speaking French with confidence.
For GCSE and A level students, I work directly from your exam board’s specification: vocabulary, reading and listening practice, and plenty of speaking practice for the oral exam, which is where most students lose marks. I help with essay structure and translation, and I set short, focused homework between lessons so progress sticks.
For adults and beginners, lessons are relaxed and conversation-led. We cover the French you’ll actually use for travel, work or family, with grammar explained clearly in English when you need it.
Every lesson starts with a quick review and ends with a clear summary of what to practise next. Lessons are available online or in person in Hove and Brighton.
