Hi! I’m Lisa, a bilingual Japanese and English speaker born and raised in Kobe, Japan, and currently studying at the University of Sydney. I have previous experience tutoring Japanese to both children and adults, as well as several years of experience working with children. I love sharing Japanese language and culture and helping students become more confident while making lessons enjoyable and encouraging!

I tailor my Japanese lessons to each student’s goals, level, and interests. Whether you are a complete beginner, learning Japanese for school, preparing for a trip to Japan, or simply want to improve your conversation skills, I will create lessons that work for you!
As a bilingual Japanese and English speaker, I can explain grammar and cultural nuances clearly in English while also helping you develop natural, everyday Japanese. Lessons can include conversation practice, pronunciation, hiragana and katakana, kanji, grammar, reading, writing, or homework support.
