About Sahil

I’m a Bachelor of Information Technology student at Murdoch University with a strong academic foundation and a genuine passion for teaching. I’ve worked with students back home and focus on making learning practical, relevant, and engaging. I specialize in Math, Science, History, and Current Affairs for students across high school. Fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and English—and currently learning Spanish—I adapt my teaching to each student’s needs and background. My goal isn’t just to help students get good grades, but to build real understanding and critical thinking that stays with them well beyond school.

About the lesson

I teach students from Year 5 to 10, covering Math, Science, and extending to History & Global Current Affairs. Every lesson is personalized and interactive, structured to build deep understanding, not rote learning. Unlike standard school classes, my sessions connect each topic to real-world impacts—e.g., exploring how WW2 shaped modern international relations, or how scientific principles shape everyday technology. My lessons follow this model: 1. Connect: I begin by linking a topic to students’ interests. For history, we’ll examine how a past event changed people’s perspectives worldwide; in science, we’ll explore real-life applications; in math, I’ll show how it’s used in everyday problem-solving. 2. Explore: Using visual tools (timelines, diagrams, maps), hands-on activities, and Socratic questioning, I adapt to each individual’s learning style—visual, auditory, or kinesthetic. 3. Apply: We deepen learning through quizzes, mini-projects, or discussions that reinforce critical thinking—focusing where the student needs extra reinforcement. 4. Review & Reflect: Each 60-minute session concludes with feedback, goal-setting for the next lesson, and tailored practice tasks. As a Bachelor of IT student at Murdoch University, fluent in Hindi, Punjabi, and English (and learning Spanish), I cater effectively to multilingual learners and multicultural families in Perth. My experience teaching children back home and my diverse language skills help create trust, clarity, and deeper rapport. Whether your child needs strong foundations in core subjects or enhanced critical thinking for exams, my lessons are tailored to their learning pace, style, and goals—with the depth, creativity, and structure that high-performing students need.
