About Daniel
My parents are American, but I grew up in Paris, France. I graduated top of my class from French lycée (high-school) in 2012 and went on to get a bachelor's degree from Oxford University in Philosophy and French literature. I'm so grateful for the private tutors I worked with to excel in my high-school baccalauréat exams and want to pass that on. Furthermore, the Oxford curriculum is based on a tutorial system... meaning my university classes were, for the most part, one-on-one sessions with professors. I know first-hand what a valuable tool tutoring is for learning. I am friendly and fun and whether you prefer our classes to be more structured or laid back, my goal is to make our time together as enjoyable as possible.

French is a beautiful language, but it can be difficult to learn the proper pronunciation and grammar! Written and spoken French can seem like two completely different languages! Je suis là pour vous aider! (I'm here to help!) Totally bilingual in French and English, I teach elementary - high school students as well as beginner - advanced adults who want to become proficient in French and will adapt my lesson plans to your needs: If you are a student who needs help acing your French class, I will adapt my lessons to your school's curriculum and help you with your assignments. If you're wanting to improve your conversational skills, we can have a friendly chat about various topics for an hour, and I will gently help you communicate more like a native French speaker. Writing an essay in French? I can help you edit. My lessons will be geared towards helping you get exactly what you want out of our time together.
