I am a student at Oxford University studying for a degree in Psychology and Linguistics.
I have previously tutored maths and English, helping students who had previously had little interest in the subject.

I believe that the most important thing in a lesson is that it should be interesting. Hence, I make extensive use of games, challenges, and real-world applications in lessons.
I usually begin the lesson with a logic puzzle or game to get the student involved. We then discuss the topic for the day, and work through an example real-life question. The topics/scenarios in the question are usually based on something of interest to the student - be it superheroes, video games, dinosaurs, etc.
I conclude my lessons with asking the student to explain the concept covered back to me.
