About Eliana
I am a single mom of two kids, 15 and 12. I love teaching because I think it has a huge influence on someone's future. I also love interacting with high school and college kids because I like thinking about my kids that age and I think it helps keep me young. I also love teaching in general because it keeps my brain SHARP!

I have been tutoring since I was in high school, when I tutored my classmates to help them improve their SAT scores. Throughout college, I worked tutoring for the university, first through the athletic office and then through the university's learning support services. In graduate school, I tutored high school math and science to supplement my income and more recently, since becoming a mom, I have taught at the middle school, high school, and college level because the teaching schedule worked well with my role as a full-time mom. I modify my teaching style to match the student, as I think everyone learns differently. I also try to find real-world relevance whenever possible.
