I am a recent graduate from the University of St Andrews in International Relations and Chinese Studies, with extensive experience studying and working abroad. I strive to make my lessons personal and practical – combining grammar and vocabulary with conversation, writing, and real-world examples to build confidence and fluency. I tailor my lessons to the needs and goals of each student – whether that be preparing for exams, aiming to improve conversational fluency, or just wanting to feel more confident in a classroom setting – I will design a plan that keeps learning engaging and practical! A typical lesson plan will include a warm-up, core focus/concept (grammar point, vocabulary, or specific theme/exam prep), practice and application, and finally feedback and reflection. I am a bilingual French and English speaker with five years of Mandarin language study under my belt. I also bring a strong interdisciplinary and global perspective to teaching, and am patient, encouraging, and adaptable. Lastly, my lessons are ideal for: - French and English learners of all levels, as well as beginner Mandarin learners. - Elementary, middle, and high school students who need support - Adults and professionals looking to strengthen conversational fluency, writing, or presentation skills - Anyone preparing for study abroad, exams, or career opportunities requiring strong language skills
