About Alyssa
I am a biochemistry student at EWU, and have had experience tutoring small groups and large groups for 4 quarters through the PLUS program. I have completed CRLA certifications 1, 2, and 3 and have helped students achieve awesome grades in the general chemistry series.

My teaching method is to guide students through practice problems and answer questions when needed, but also allow them to learn the processes for themselves. I know from experience that simply showing a student how to complete different types of problems is not nearly as effective as allowing them to struggle through trying problems, and getting feedback when necessary.
