About Anna
Since completing my TESOL English teaching certificate in 2009, I have been driven to mentor and teach students. I have undergraduate degrees in biology and anthropology, and a master's degree in environmental science and sustainability. I have been a science educator and youth recreation programmer for over two years. I have worked as a field biologist, and lab technician, collecting and analyzing data through qualitative and quantitative research methods. I am particularly interested in ecology and cell biology, as well as social sciences.

My teaching methods are based on student needs. I provide semi-structured lessons that allow for flexibility in teaching methods. I enjoy a multi-media and critical thinking approach that deepens students' understanding of the subject matter. I encourage my students to think independently and ask questions that guide the lesson towards the best possible experience for the student. I am an avid goal-setter and challenge-taker, and mentor my students to do the same.
