About Vivian
I was born and raised on the west side of Oahu. I moved to San Francisco for undergrad in 2016. I graduated from the University of San Francisco in 2020 with a BS in Biology and a Minor in Biochemistry. Since then, I have been working and volunteering in the veterinary industry. I begin veterinary school in July at Massey University in New Zealand. My career goal is to become a veterinary surgeon, serving the Oahu community.
My goal here is to help you to achieve your own academic goals. I believe that the surefire way to do that is: (1) to determine what your strengths are and (2) to help you develop study methods unique to those strengths. That's what I will do as your tutor. These methods have served me in my academic career, and I hope they will serve you in yours, too. I'm excited to welcome you to my tutoring sessions, where professionalism, kindness, and respect are key!

My tutoring services are for college students taking and having difficulty in biology, biochemistry, and/or organic chemistry. I have no typical lesson plan because I shape my lesson plans according to each individual's needs and interests. However, in general, my tutoring techniques involve modelling different ways to study material, asking thought-provoking questions to help you arrive at answers on your own, and guiding you through difficulties in homework and/or practice problems. If I tutor you, I promise to help you succeed in an encouraging and kind way!

Perfect! Vivian is tutoring my son. It looks like her methodology is good in that she tries to find out how to best help her students.
- Eunice's son is a great visual learner. He gains understanding of concepts best through pictures and videos or live demonstration.
