About Ishaan

I hold an MSc in Genetics and Cellular Biology and have spent 9 years helping students discover the fascinating world of life sciences. My interest in biology began with a curiosity about how living organisms function and how genetic information shapes life. This fascination eventually inspired me to pursue advanced study and a career in education.

Throughout my teaching experience, I have worked with students at different academic levels and with diverse learning goals. I believe biology should be taught through understanding and exploration rather than memorisation alone. My teaching style focuses on simplifying complex concepts while encouraging students to think scientifically and ask meaningful questions.

Outside the classroom, I enjoy reading about advances in biotechnology, genetics, and environmental research. These interests allow me to bring contemporary scientific developments into my lessons and make learning more relevant. Helping students develop confidence, curiosity, and a deeper appreciation for biology is one of the most rewarding aspects of my work.

About the lesson

Biology becomes more meaningful when students understand how living systems are connected rather than viewing topics as separate units. In my lessons, I help learners explore cell biology, genetics, ecology, physiology, evolution, and microbiology through clear explanations and engaging discussions. I focus on helping students recognise patterns, relationships, and biological processes that explain how organisms survive, grow, and adapt. This approach builds stronger understanding and makes learning more enjoyable.

Lessons are designed around each student’s learning needs and academic goals. Some learners require support with foundational concepts, while others want to improve analytical thinking and examination performance. Through diagrams, case studies, scientific investigations, and guided questioning, I help students develop confidence in interpreting biological information. Regular review activities reinforce key concepts and strengthen long-term retention.

I encourage students to view biology as a living science that influences health, technology, agriculture, and environmental sustainability. My goal is to create an engaging learning environment where curiosity is encouraged and scientific understanding continues to grow. By building confidence and critical-thinking skills, students become more prepared for future academic and professional opportunities.
