About Ashley
I love talking about science and getting others excited about it too! I spent a lot of time during my Master's engaging in outreach and science communication. Science can be a tough subject, but it can also be really rewarding and be a way to connect with the natural world on an academic level. In my free time, I'm hiking, biking, or swimming when it's warm outside.

I recently completed my MSc in Biology, with a focus on urban and aquatic ecology. In my teaching, I provide hands-on, concrete examples, and work with students at their speed. I also connect students with additional online resources and help them to take control of their own learning. I usually start by asking students to bring one or two questions to the session to get things moving, then continue to work on course content and exploring other challenging topics. I teach and tutor at the university level, covering courses ranging from first to third year. However, I also frequently present at local high schools, and I'm passionate about getting students of all ages excited about science.
