About Rachel
I’m Rachel, a Boston-based biology graduate turned nursing student with a genuine love for science and a passion for helping others understand it.
I earned my Bachelor of Science in Biology from UMass in 2023, where I built a strong foundation in the life sciences, everything from cellular biology to human physiology. After graduating, I went on to work in clinical research at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), where I gained real-world exposure to the healthcare field and deepened my appreciation for the science behind patient care. That experience is a big part of what inspired me to take the next step and enroll in Northeastern University’s accelerated nursing program, where I’m currently a student pushing through one of the most rigorous and rewarding challenges of my life.
I know what it’s like to sit in a lecture and feel completely lost, and I also know the incredible feeling when something finally clicks. That’s what drives me as a tutor. I bring both academic knowledge and hands-on healthcare experience to my sessions, which means I can connect textbook concepts to the real world in a way that makes them easier to remember, and actually care about.
When I’m not studying or tutoring, I love traveling, spending time with friends and family, and finding creative ways to decompress from the demands of nursing school. I’m someone who takes my academics seriously but never forgets the importance of keeping things human, and I bring that same balance to every tutoring session.

Hi! I’m Rachel, a nursing student in Northeastern University’s accelerated nursing program, and I’d love to help you navigate the science courses that once felt overwhelming to me too.
My tutoring style is collaborative and low-pressure. I believe the best way to really learn something is to understand the why behind it, not just memorize facts for a test. Whether you’re struggling with a concept, prepping for an exam, or just trying to keep up with a fast-paced course, I’ll meet you where you are and work with you at a pace that actually makes sense.
I’m comfortable helping with subjects like anatomy & physiology, biology, chemistry, pathophysiology, pharmacology basics, and general science coursework. I’m especially passionate about health sciences and love breaking down complex topics into something that finally clicks.
A heads-up about scheduling: As a student in an accelerated nursing program, my availability can vary week to week depending on exams, clinicals, and coursework. I’ll always communicate openly about my schedule, and I’ll do my best to find times that work consistently for you.
