My tutoring approach is focused on helping students actually understand the material, not just memorize it. I start by figuring out where a student is getting stuck, then explain concepts in simple steps using examples and practice problems. I keep sessions relaxed and supportive so students feel comfortable asking questions.
A typical lesson starts with reviewing what the student is working on in class, followed by going over key concepts and practicing problems together. I make sure students can work through similar questions on their own by the end of the session so they leave feeling more confident.
I work best with middle school and high school students, as well as students in introductory math and science courses. What sets me apart is my patience, flexibility, and ability to explain things in a way that makes sense to each individual student.
