About Davan
I am a second-year undergraduate student in UofT’s Honour’s Bachelor of Science Program. I am double majoring in Biology and Forest Conservation Science (An ecology program focusing on forest systems). I started my degree pursuing astrophysics for my first year, and decided to pursue biology and forestry after taking some of the courses as electives, hence my experience with math and physics. I am a strong in English, with an A grade in my first-year English and the Sciences course.
In my free time, I love to be outdoors. I am passionate about nature and the environment, and spend leisure time volunteering with green organizations. I also play hockey recreationally, and have been since I was five years old! In my personal life, I am the oldest of three girls, and that has taught me plenty about working with children.

I adapt my tutoring style to the learning style of the pupil. I start out using methods for different learning styles, such as visual and auditory learning styles, and adapt my teaching to suit what the student is most comfortable with. Lesson plans vary by subject and grade level, however a typical lesson will start with a review of the topics learned in class, followed by a brief chat about specific struggles/questions, then a short lesson, and lots of practice time.
