About Mason

My interest in biology began with exploring nature, human anatomy, and the variety of life forms around us. This curiosity motivated me to study biology in depth, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Life Sciences, where I explored cell biology, genetics, ecology, and physiology. These studies gave me a strong foundation to explain complex ideas clearly to learners of all levels.

Over 7 years of teaching, I have supported students in understanding both basic and advanced biological concepts. Some learners required help building confidence with fundamental topics, while others aimed to deepen their understanding for academic goals or exams. My approach focuses on clarity, structured explanations, and interactive learning.

Beyond teaching, I enjoy researching recent discoveries in health science, ecology, and biotechnology, bringing relevant examples into my lessons. Seeing students develop curiosity, understanding, and confidence is the most rewarding part of teaching biology, as it empowers them to appreciate the living world scientifically and thoughtfully.

About the lesson

My biology lessons aim to make learning about living organisms and their systems approachable and engaging. Many students find biology overwhelming because of the volume of concepts, but I focus on helping learners understand how organisms function and interact. Lessons begin with basic topics such as cell structure, classification, and basic anatomy, helping students build a clear foundation.

As students gain confidence, lessons expand to include human physiology, plant biology, genetics, and ecosystems. I use diagrams, visual aids, and practical examples to help learners see the connections between different biological systems. Students are encouraged to ask questions and explore concepts through interactive exercises, which strengthens both comprehension and curiosity.

The goal is for students to appreciate the science of life and gain the skills to analyze, interpret, and understand biological processes. Lessons focus on observation, critical thinking, and application, rather than rote memorization. Over time, students develop a deeper curiosity about the natural world, enhanced analytical abilities, and confidence in approaching new biological topics.
