About Delilah

I’m a Biology tutor with over 4 years of experience and an MPhil in Biology. My passion lies in helping students communicate science with clarity and confidence. I take a holistic and interdisciplinary approach, blending strong biology knowledge with the art of effective scientific writing. I specialize in breaking down complex biological concepts so they’re easy to understand. Whether it’s writing a clear introduction or structuring a full research paper, I guide students step by step. I also teach how to present findings using well-designed graphical abstracts and engaging visuals. My sessions include reviewing peer-reviewed articles to build critical reading and writing skills. I provide practical tips for oral presentations, making sure students can speak about their work with confidence. I’ve worked with university students, early-career researchers, and science communicators across different fields. I tailor each session to the student’s goals, whether academic or professional. We focus on building not only skills but also confidence. Communication is at the heart of science, and I enjoy helping others master it. Sharing biology with impact is both a skill and a joy—and I’m here to help you do both.

About the lesson

My teaching approach in Biology is centered around critical thinking and evidence-based reasoning. I believe in exploring how life evolved, adapted, and diversified over time. From evolutionary biology to natural selection, speciation, and phylogenetics, I help students connect the dots and understand the bigger picture.

I encourage asking questions, analyzing data, and drawing conclusions based on scientific evidence. Lessons are designed to build a deep understanding of biological processes, not just memorization. I work closely with students who have a passion for applied sciences. Food Chemists and Green Chemists, in particular, find strong support in refining their grasp of biological systems. I help them understand how evolution shapes the organisms and processes they work with.

Through case studies, diagrams, and engaging discussions, I make complex topics easier to understand. Students develop the ability to explain concepts clearly and think like scientists. You’ll gain the confidence to discuss life’s grand narrative with clarity and curiosity. My goal is to help each learner excel with both knowledge and insight.
