About Milla
I am a second year biology student and have gained experience as a teacher throughout my life. I started by being a math tutor for a neighboor in my building, to being hired by my physics teacher in highschool to help my fellow students in Electricity and Magnetism course for a year. On the side, I was a swim and aqua fitness instructor for a wide range of ages, from children to elderly. At my university, I am currently a research assistant and have completed two research projects in the fields of forest ecology and MRI imaging. I am passionate about various subjects and have developed professional researching and teaching skills throughout my academic journey.

I usually encourage students to come prepared with homework questions they have trouble solving. I walk them through the problem and ask them where they are stuck, and help them brainstorm through all the related concepts viewed in class. Often, discussing the topics around the question is the best way to develop problem solving skills in biology, compared to googling or using ChatGPT for an easy search. My lessons are for highschool level science courses and introductory college level biology and chemistry courses
