About Cyrah
Hi! I’m a biomedical science graduate from Monash University. I'm originally from Brisbane and graduated with a 99.70 ATAR.
As a biomed student, I know that studying science – particularly biology – is often synonymous with memorization. However, I aim to teach students how to engage with the content by understanding the underlying concepts and principles rather than via rote learning.
Having tried and tested both methods, I have found that when I actively engage with the content I am better prepared for exams, get better grades and (amazingly) spend less time studying!

Lesson plans would consist mostly of addressing concerns regarding course content by reviewing key concepts and completing consolidation exercises. Lessons typically range from 45-60 minutes - although I'm more than willing to adjust this.
I am a big advocate for understanding concepts rather than simply memorising content. Speaking from experience, this approach to learning has left me feeling more confident and better prepared for exams.
I'm happy to incorporate study techniques/exercises that you are familiar with into the lesson - whether that be Quizlet, textbook questions or other helpful resources.
