About Gavin
I am 22 years old and just finished my undergraduate Biomedical Engineering degree at the University of Waterloo. I have always had a passion for teaching and have had many opportunities to tutor students throughout my own academic career. I love helping a student understand a concept that they previously found challenging! I am always happy to explain new topics in different ways because I understand that everyone learns differently.

My lessons are very flexible and tend to be adapted to the specific student and their needs. I like to focus on building an understanding of new concepts to provide students with the confidence to tackle new problems in the future. Previously, I have tutored grade 7/8 math, high school math and physics, and university-level dynamics, calculus, and linear algebra. I am comfortable teaching at any level, and my own academic experience has provided me with the ability to explain topics in many different ways while also having a large bank of example problems to draw upon.
