About Isabel
Hi! I’m Isabel, a Biomedical Engineering student at New River Community College with plans to transfer to Virginia Tech. I’ve been tutoring students since high school and have experience working with a variety of ages and learning styles. Math has been a major part of my own academic journey, and I know how much of a difference the right explanation can make. I’m patient, organized, and genuinely enjoy helping students turn confusing concepts into something they feel confident tackling on their own.

My lessons are tailored to each student and how they learn best. I focus on helping students understand why a concept works instead of simply memorizing steps or formulas. We’ll identify areas that need improvement, work through problems together, and build a strong foundation before moving on. I’m patient with questions and happy to explain concepts in different ways until they make sense. My goal is for students to leave each lesson feeling more confident and capable of solving problems independently.
