About Azan
Hi, I'm Azan, a Biomedical Engineering student at King's College London currently achieving a First Class average. I have a strong passion for mathematics, science and problem-solving, and I enjoy helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals.
One of my biggest strengths as a tutor is my ability to explain complex ideas clearly and break difficult topics down into simple, manageable steps. Having recently experienced the challenges of GCSEs, A-Levels and university study myself, I understand the difficulties students can face when learning new concepts. This allows me to relate to students, identify where they may be struggling and explain topics in a way that is engaging and easy to understand.
Through my Biomedical Engineering degree, I have developed a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, biology, programming and analytical thinking. I have experience with programming languages including Python and C++, which I can teach to students looking to develop their coding skills and problem-solving abilities.
I am patient, approachable and committed to creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. My goal is not only to improve grades but to help students develop confidence, independence and a genuine understanding of the subjects they study.
I offer tuition for GCSE and A-Level Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as Python and C++ programming for students looking to develop their technical skills.

My teaching approach is centred around making complex concepts simple, engaging and easy to understand. Rather than encouraging students to memorise content, I focus on building a strong understanding of the underlying principles so they can confidently apply their knowledge to unfamiliar problems and exam questions.
Every lesson is tailored to the individual student's needs, whether they require support with specific topics, regular tutoring throughout the academic year or intensive exam preparation. I use a combination of worked examples, guided practice, past paper questions, active recall and spaced repetition to reinforce learning and improve long-term retention. I also place a strong emphasis on exam technique, helping students maximise marks by understanding what examiners are looking for.
I have experience providing private one-to-one tutoring, working with students to improve both their confidence and academic performance. As a Biomedical Engineering student at King's College London, I use the mathematical, scientific and problem-solving skills developed through my degree to explain challenging topics in a clear and logical way.
Lessons are typically between 1 and 2 hours, depending on the student's goals, learning pace and the level of support required. I teach students studying GCSEs and A-Levels in Maths, Biology, Chemistry and Physics, as well as beginners who want to learn Python programming. Whether you're aiming to boost your grades, prepare for exams or build a stronger foundation in STEM subjects, my lessons are designed to help you achieve your goals with confidence.
