About Kaila
Hello! I’m a Biomedical Science graduate and a current MSc student in Physician Associate Studies. Taking a gap year has given me the perfect opportunity to share my passion for science with younger students who are looking for support in their learning journey.
I've always been fascinated by science, particularly in the field of healthcare. My experience as a healthcare assistant in MRI at a private healthcare clinic has deepened my understanding and appreciation for the medical field. Additionally, I’ve received training in adult, baby, and child life support, which has further enhanced my skills.
Beyond my academic and professional pursuits, I enjoy painting, reading, meditation, and journaling. These hobbies help me maintain a balanced lifestyle and foster creativity, which I believe is important in the learning process.
I’ve also had the privilege of being a head student representative, where I worked collaboratively with a team to address the needs of our student body. This experience has equipped me with valuable communication and leadership skills.
As a tutor, my goal is to make learning easy and enjoyable. I love encouraging and motivating students, helping them build confidence in their abilities. I’m also happy to assist in creating study plans and sharing effective study tips to help students succeed.

I believe in a hands-on, interactive approach to learning science. My lessons will incorporate:
Conceptual Understanding: I focus on building a strong foundation by explaining core concepts before diving into complex topics.
Active Learning: I encourage students to ask questions and engage in discussions, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
Visual Aids: Diagrams, videos, and simulations are frequently used to help visualize concepts, especially in subjects like biology and chemistry.
My lessons will last 60 minutes, allowing enough time to cover material thoroughly while keeping students engaged. However, I can adjust the length based on student needs or preferences.
I hold a Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Science and I am a current Physician Associate MSc student. I have 2 years experience as a head student representative, frequently helping fellow students with their studies. I’m passionate about helping students succeed, helping to improve their understanding and grades.
I offer tutoring for students aged 12-16, any level!
