About Shabnam
I know from personal experience that sometimes just listening in class isn’t enough to reach your full potential. When I was a student, I realised that to achieve higher grades, I needed to practise and study at home using the right techniques. Using a specific study method, I was able to raise my Psychology grade from failing to an A in just two months. I’m resilient, dedicated, and know what works because I’ve been there myself. I focus on proven techniques like active recall, diagrams, simplified explanations, and flashcards to help students not just understand, but excel. Parents often tell me their children’s grades significantly improve after our lessons, and I’m proud to see students gain confidence while achieving better results. With me, you’ll get a tutor who understands the struggle, knows how to overcome it, and can guide you to your best performance.

Lesson Length: 2 hours (with a short break) I’m Shabnam, a friendly and experienced tutor helping secondary students (age 12+) achieve their best. I have strong academic credentials, including A Level Psychology (A), A Level Chemistry (B), and high GCSEs across Maths, English, French, and Science at grade 7 and higher. Experience: 2 years of tutoring, Nursery volunteering and events with older children. Teaching Style: I make learning active and visual, using: Active recall to strengthen memory Diagrams for visual understanding Simplified explanations that expand into deeper concepts Flashcards to test and reinforce learning I focus on creating a supportive, engaging environment where students build confidence and achieve real results
